My life,
one week at a time.
Every square below is one week of my life. The colors are the chapters, the dots are the days that changed things, and the photos are the places I’ve been. Hover over a week to see it.

Milestones
Single days worth remembering — a graduation, a move, a first meeting — appear as small dots on the grid.
You’re editing as Yashodhar. Changes are published to this page as soon as you save.
A lot can happen in one square.
Most weeks don’t feel historic while we’re living them. Zoom out, and they become childhoods, friendships, careers, places, routines, detours, and turning points.
You don’t have to make every week extraordinary. The point is simply to notice that they are yours.
About the idea
In 2014, Tim Urban published “Your Life in Weeks” on Wait But Why, visualizing a human life as a grid of tiny squares, one for every week. It is a remarkably simple way to see an entire lifetime at once.
This page is my own version of it: my weeks since June 1996, with the chapters of my education and work, the moves between countries, and photos from the trips in between.
The approach of annotating a life grid with eras and events was also inspired by Gina Trapani’s interpretation of the concept.
This is an independent, personal project. It is not created, endorsed by, or affiliated with Tim Urban, Wait But Why, or Gina Trapani.
