How I approach engineering

  1. 01

    Understand

Start with the process, the machine, the operators, and the real production problem.

  2. 02

    Model

Define system behavior, interfaces, dependencies, and failure modes before implementation.

  3. 03

    Integrate

Connect controls, software, databases, machines, and production workflows into a maintainable system.

  4. 04

    Improve

Use feedback from production, data, operators, and engineering teams to refine the system.

A control system is only useful when the entire loop works.

The same is true for industrial software. PLC logic, applications, databases, interfaces, machines, and people all need to work together.

Yashodhar Mahajan

I’m Yashodhar Mahajan, a Controls Engineer based in Germany. My background combines mechanical engineering, mechatronics, control systems, industrial automation, and software development.

I began my career working directly with CNC machines, PLCs, sensors, and production equipment. Today, my work increasingly focuses on industrial software, MES platforms, machine integration, system architecture, and digital manufacturing.

I enjoy solving problems that sit between traditional engineering disciplines—where software needs to understand machines, machines need to communicate with production systems, and technical decisions need to work reliably on the shop floor.

Direction

Where my work is heading: industrial software in C#/.NET, MES and machine connectivity, controls with strong software responsibility, and test systems.
